Our {{ FIRST }} Christmas.

I hope you're not expecting pictures.
Because, despite the fact that I'm more into "picture blogging".
I'm not so good at the whole Picture Taking process!

Christmas.
Let's talk about that.
Our FIRST Christmas!

We actually got a tree.
A fresh cut tree!
((Coming home to the smell of a fresh tree was the best.))
I loved that tree.
(that may be an understatement)
Blake would laugh at me, because I would turn it on.
& sit on the couch mesmerized.

I requested Christmas Lights on the "house".
& THIS is what I came home too!
true white trash style ;)

We turned these bad boys on every night.
Blake liked to have 'em lit when I got home from work.
 & I LOVED IT!

We started a little competition with my Parents.
since we can see there house through the trees - Christmas Light WAR!
We even stole there lights. ha.
We strung lights down the fence row, around the trees & all!
We even thought about stealing my mom's Yard Manger scene.
just to add a little classy'ness to our white trash up'do.
We thought that might be a little over the top though.
it was fun.
I still believe we won the Christmas Spirit Award!

Let's talk about Christmas cards.
So I wanted to do the whole Christmas card thing.
Blake didn't seem to be the biggest fan.
but agree'd to do it anyways.
 then.

1.the camera wasn't working.
2.too many pictures.
3.the sun was going down.
4.blake didn't want to be there.
5. i just wanted to perfect "pinterest" christmas pictures.
so frustration sunk in.
& this is how our pictures turned out.

(i laugh every time i look at them)

 yep. frustrated.
not obvious or anything, right?

oh. & then this. really. did. it.
um. hello.
 you're NOT TEBOW!
we're supposed to be taking OUR FIRST CHRISTMAS PICTURES!

Needless to say.
The Christmas picture thing didn't work out.

We did have a WONDERFUL first Christmas though.
Don't let the pictures fool ya!

I just love this time of the year -
when everybody has that "Christmas Spirit"

Let us try a little harder at having that Spirit all year long!
To look beyond ourselves.
& share the love of Christ with others.

That's my goal -
for 2012.

Hope you all had a wonderful Christmastime with those you love the most.

With Love,
The Andersons
