Bills
the worst part of being an adult.
& probably LIFE.
yeah. so we have the beloved monthly Bills.
really only one (yes, we're lucky)
but it's a Power Bill.
you know for that all that power we use;
cooking, cleaning, living.
So our bill has been pretty cheap.
like yeah we are cheap, cheap.
for the first couple months we've been in our "Lake House"
(that's what we call it - but it's really a trailer)
and by trailer i mean.
The trailer my parents lived in when they were first married.
Just spiffed up quiet a bit.
wood floors and all -
yeah we're fancy ;)
So back to the Bills.
Our most recent power bill was just shy of $200 dollars.
YES. a whole [T w o . h u n d r e d] dollars.
why?
I'm blaming it on the Christmas Light War.
(hello. mother would you like to pay that bill for causing this war?)
I don't know what y'all bills look like.
but that's just a lot for a kid.
Needless to say, when we got back from Denver.
we had just paid that bill and had it fresh on our minds.
so we decided NOT to run the Heater -
because, perhaps the heat being on 24/7 could contribute to BIG bills.
I think Blake was secretly thrilled that the heater would not be on
BECAUSE
this would mean endless cuddling.
Yeah. well the night went something like this.
Cuddling -
Then,
Erica waking up in chills.
Blake, rolled over - all nice and snug in the Blanket.
Erica Yanking the Blanket & forcefully saying:
"what happened to the cuddling to stay warm"
Then Waking up to see our thermostat looking something like this:
Okay. Double that. and subtract two.
that's what our thermostat said.
yes.
50 DEGREES
did I say it was COLD?
Any donations to our "keep the Anderson's heat on" fund would be greatly appreciated ;)
Stay Warm
& Keep Your Heat on,
The Andersons
I don't think people who only have ONE bill to pay deserve any donations ;)
ReplyDeleteGood point Holly! Nor should someone who started a "war" ask for reparation when they are decimated by the very ones they declared "war" on.
ReplyDeletewe have an electric blanket which is much cheaper than running the heater!
ReplyDeletemust be nice!! if we only had to pay 200 bucks a month for our bills, we'd be loaded! guess it keeps us humble :)
