March //

March Madness is an appropriate term for not only the series of basketball games that take place, but it would also adequately describe our life in March 2015.

My plan for March was to kick back and relax more, which meant working part-time, and being a stay at home wife the rest of the time. Sounds like the perfect plan right? I did take a few extra days off (that totaling to 3). Things like that happen when you work for you Dad, and he doesn't believe in the whole not working much idea. Seriously, he raised his eyebrows every time I told him I needed an extra day off! I laughed. & While sometimes it could be something to complain about, I'm super greatful for a Dad that does believe in Work, and has taught me the value of it.

We ended the month of February checking out a weekend volleyball tournament in Tallahassee and spending time with Blake's Friend Adam and celebrating his birthday!

That lady in the side of the picture with Adam is his grandma, JUJU. She is probably at this moment professing her love for Blake. She informed the crowd how she had the hots for him for 15 years. And gave Blake a kiss on the cheek whenever she left. We thought she was going to have a heart attack, she said her heart was fluttering. I was dying laughing. B was most likely a little embarrassed.

Those few extra days I spent off, I spent cleaning, organizing, and trying to enjoy the simple things in life. These blooms on one of our fruit tree's caught my eye as I was out walking around. I am so obsessed with Nature, with landscapes and tree's. There is truly so much beauty around us, in small and simple things, and those things make me so happy, and feel the calm among the storms.

I also picked up a puzzle on one of my day's off and "surprised" Blake with something to do! He was super surprised, and wondered why I picked the biggest puzzle I could find for us beginners. We quickly became addicted, and didn't want to make our way to bed, ever. We're still working on it. We plan on framing it once we are done.

I had to make a few trips to Panama City this month, which is always fine with me, because there are two really cute boys down there that I like to visit. They conned me in to a trip to the beach with their Mamma. It's really hard to say No to them. Cam & I jumped waves. And then built a sand castle with Layne, that he crushed.

We found the perfect spot to go to the beach to stay away from those crazy news making Spring Break Crowds. There wasn't many people on the beach where we were.
And it was an almost perfect day.

We spent one weekend down in Orlando with my parents and oldest Nephew, Camden. It was such a great trip. Blake and I went to the Temple on the Friday night when we arrived. And then spent the next day at Disney with my family. We drove the motorhome down and camped at Fort Wilderness Disney Resort, and took the boat over to disney.

I'm glad Blake and I agree, Disney isn't on the top of our list to bring our posterity. Hopefully they'll be happy with zoo's and playgrounds, because I'm not all about those long lines.

I am however all about this.

The biggest thing about MARCH is/was Blake's Birthday. My Old man turned 28. I swore to him that he was turning 29. He eventually won, and he only made it to 28.

We spent his Birthday in Panama City. We planned on spending at little time at the Nike Store (Blake's Favorite), Going out to Lunch, and then taking a little boat cruise out to Shell Island to Snorkel. And ended with his favorite, Sushi!

Camden, our oldest Nephew, heard of this boat/snorkeling tour we were going on and wanted to go with us. We of course said Yes, and he met up with us to go out on the Boat & Celebrate Blake's Birthday. He was super impressed with all the Birthday Celebratin Blake got to do.

Is this not the cutest?

When we finally arrived on Shell Island, and it was time to hit the Water, Cam, just wasn't going to have it. We couldn't figure out why he didn't want to get in the water. So we left him on the boat (don't judge us) and we jumped in the water. He stood on the side and watched us snorkel around.

We Finally convinced him to get in the Water, because he was dying to do the YOLO Board.

Once we got him in, he was pretty set on staying in the water.

Blake got stung by a Jelly Fish, Happy Birthday to Blake, and we didn't tell Cam because we knew he would be OUT OF THE WATER, real quick.

I know Blake enjoyed his birthday, because I sure did. They had a conch blowing contest. A hula hooping contest and all sorts of contests on board the boat.

This year our goal/my goal is to do more, work less, and have JOY. Blake reminds me " We are here to have JOY" all the time. Sometimes we can get so caught up in work, work, work, and not wanting to spend any money, that we forget to that we really are meant to have joy. We should go out on boats, and snorkel, and cruise, and have a good time. Even if that means spending a little extra money. I'm pretty greatful for that reminder. And for our favorite month of the year being so perfect and joyful!

There is so much more that I feel like went on this month. Once I discover the pictures, and the memories come back, I'm sure I'll add it in!
